The Common Rail Pressure Control Valve (PCV) is a proportional solenoid valve installed on the high-pressure side of the common rail fuel system. Controlled by the ECU via a PWM signal, it precisely regulates the valve opening to adjust the return flow of high-pressure fuel, enabling accurate closed-loop control of common rail pressure. The PCV rapidly compensates for rail pressure fluctuations, ensuring stable injection pressure while improving combustion efficiency, engine performance, and fuel economy. It also helps protect the high-pressure fuel system, making it an essential control component in modern diesel common rail systems.
